Society of Something Shows is a volunteer run and led non-profit based on the traditional territory of the Kwanlin Dun First Nation and Ta’an Kwach’an Council (otherwise known as Whitehorse)
We've got some news to share - Something Shows is taking a little breather this year! Last year we did a deep dive with past and present team members, partners and other folks who had feedback and input. We put a lot of thought into how the organization should work, what its priorities are and at the end of the day what do we want to put energy into.
Last fall we had a smaller, more focused version of Wonderhorse & the Make Something Residency. It felt like a good representation of what we are going for. At this point we are feeling like a break might be nice. SOSS has been a labour of love since 2017 and 2024 is the year to chill out.
While we won't be producing programing this year, we’re around and we plan to put our time into partnering on events that could use our support and possibly some pop up shows. If you think you’d like to have us involved with what you are doing, give us a shout at hello@somethingshows.com
We're using this time to recharge and dream, if you think you might have some ideas and or want to get involved drop us a line. Stay tuned for updates and lots of love to you all.
